Whale Route is a brand-owned South African label, no named estate, sourced from the Breede River Valley in the Western Cape, grown on marly, stony soils; the fruit is harvested at low temperature with light crushing and a short 8-hour skin maceration, then cold-fermented in stainless steel, unoaked. Note: this describes the standard bottling, as no distinct Grand Reserve product page exists from the importer.
