Bastide du Claux was founded in 2002 by Sylvain Morey, son of Chassagne-Montrachet vigneron Jean-Marc Morey, in the Luberon National Park hills of western Provence. ‘Malacare’ (recently renamed ‘Panorama Rouge’ by the producer) comes from vines averaging about 50 years old on southwest-facing sandy slopes, blending roughly 60% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 10% Carignan, aged about a year mostly in concrete.
