Profile & Story
Nino Negri, founded in 1897, is the leading estate of Italy's Valtellina DOCG in Lombardy. ‘Quadrio’ takes its name from the 15th-century Castello Quadrio in Chiuro, the winery's headquarters, and blends 90% Nebbiolo (locally called Chiavennasca) with 10% Merlot from south-facing hillside vineyards above 1,100ft.
Tasting Notes
Garnet color with ruby hues; aromas of berry fruit, balsamic notes, raspberry jam, rose and violet; a full, dry, vigorous palate with elegant tannins.
