Profile & Story
Pio Cesare, founded in Alba in 1881 and still family-run, sources its Cortese grapes exclusively from selected hillside vineyards in the Gavi zone, from families who have supplied the winery for generations. The wine ferments slowly at low temperature and ages on the lees in stainless steel until bottling the following March.
Tasting Notes
Pale silver-straw color; lifted, fresh aromas of pithy lemon, fresh flowers, green melon and tarragon; a smooth, silky, complex palate with ripe fruit and a clean, spicy finish.
