Profile & Story

Cantina Buceci dei Conti di Belsito is a family winery based in Bolognetta-Marineo, near Palermo, Sicily, run by the Calderone family. Their Nero d'Avola DOC Sicilia is made from 100% Nero d'Avola, hand- and machine-harvested in early October, macerated at controlled temperature for 12 days, then refined in stainless steel and barriques.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red with purple reflections; complex aromas of plum, red fruit, and spice with a note of licorice; medium-bodied, round and velvety, with polished tannins and a long, lightly aromatic finish.
