Profile & Story
Chateau d'Estoublon, in the heart of Provence, has made wine since 1489 and is today owned by Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni, and the Courbit and Prats families. Roseblood is its flagship rose, grown on clay-limestone soil at 350-400m altitude in what the estate calls 'Limestone Provence.' The 2023 vintage is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Rolle from Coteaux Varois en Provence, overseen by Technical Director Victor Joyeux; the wine is direct-pressed, cold-fermented in stainless steel and concrete, and matured for several weeks on fine lees. Roughly 12.5% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Elegance and subtle complexity in a harmonious, playful and bold composition (per the 2023 vintage description); the house style shows a pale, luminous color with rose-water reflections, delicate linden and jasmine blossom aromatics alongside peach and watermelon, a vibrant citrus and red-berry palate, mineral tension, and a saline finish.
