Profile & Story

BloodRoot is a Sonoma project from Noah and Kelly Dorrance of Reeve Wines, with winemaker Katy Wilson crafting value-driven bottlings from top North Coast sites. This Chardonnay draws fruit from the cool Green Valley, Occidental, and Sebastopol pockets of the Sonoma Coast, grown in sandy Goldridge loam. It ferments in stainless steel and French oak and completes full malolactic fermentation before ten months of aging in French oak, twenty percent new.

Tasting Notes

Crunchy pear, honeyed lemon, and orange blossom cream on the nose, with a whisper of ginger and a supple, silky texture balancing rich fruit against bright acidity.
