Chateau d'Esclans sits in Provence northeast of St-Tropez; Sacha Lichine acquired the estate in 2006 aiming to make the world's greatest roses, credited with sparking the modern 'Rose Renaissance.' Whispering Angel blends Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino), with a small amount of Syrah. Grapes are picked at night for freshness, optically sorted, soft-crushed and chilled, then closed-circuit pressed to minimize oxidation; free-run and press juices are fermented and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel with twice-weekly batonnage. 13% ABV.
