Profile & Story
Chianti Geografico began in 1961 as a cooperative of seventeen Chianti winemakers and is based in Gaiole in Chianti, now part of the Piccini group. Contessa di Radda, one of its best-known labels, takes its name and portrait from Countess Willa of Tuscany, a tenth-century noblewoman linked to the Radda lands.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red with garnet reflections, showing an intense, vinous nose of ripe red fruit and spice; harmonious and velvety on the palate, with firm, well-judged tannin.
