Decibel Wines is the project of American-born winemaker Daniel Brennan, working with top Hawke's Bay and Martinborough growers. The Giunta range — named for his mother's mother, Stella Giunta — is built around fresh, fruit-forward Nouveau-style bottlings; this Malbec is sourced from the Bridge Pa Triangle on the Heretaunga Plains, more than half from certified-organic fruit.
Tasting Notes
Dark purple in the glass, with a wild nose of savory black olive and brambly fruit alongside smoky, dusty aromatics; dark preserved cherry, menthol, and licorice on the palate, finishing fresh with light, persistent tannins.
