Profile & Story

Mancino Vermouth was founded in 2012 by Giancarlo Mancino, a bartender and entrepreneur from Pignola in the Lucania region (Province of Potenza), who introduced his artisanal vermouth line at Bar Convent Berlin to immediate success. The company, now based in Milan, produces a range of superior-quality artisanal vermouths made from a selection of about forty herbs and spices combined with fine Italian wines, with all production carried out in Italy. Bianco Ambrato is produced through the fortification of a delicate Trebbiano di Romagna and the infusion of 37 aromatic herbs, bottled at 16% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Slightly amber in color, with aromas of alpine rose, chamomile, elderflower, gentian and mint, sweet orange and ginger, pink grapefruit, cardamom, liquorice and quinine; the palate is slightly bitter.

Pairing Recommendation

The producer recommends enjoying Bianco Ambrato neat or on the rocks with a wedge of orange, or with a few splashes in a Gin and Vodka Tonic; it is also highlighted as ideal for a Vesper cocktail.
