Profile & Story

Noelle Morantin, originally from Brittany, began making wine in the Touraine in 2008 after training with Agnes and Rene Mosse and overseeing Junko Arai's Les Bois Lucas estate. She farms organically along the Cher river around Pouille and Thesee on clay-limestone soils, and chooses to bottle many cuvees as Vin de France rather than under the Touraine appellation. Osiana is her rose cuvee, a blend of Gamay and Cot (the Loire's traditional name for Malbec) pressed directly off the skins into fiberglass tank, where it rested until spring before bottling.
