Profile & Story

At BIRA we aim to transit less-travelled roads in Argentina's present wine industry, and within that quest, we are brought back to the origins of our families. Our search is mainly driven by the creation of complex and elegant wines beyond Malbec, although we clearly understand this true-argentina variety and appreciate it as part of our present. Said so we created this italian-inspired red blend of Malbec with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc, a fresh and earthy version of Argentinas Malbec.

Tasting Notes

Tanito expresses the character of the Uco Valley, through a lens inspired by classic italian supertuscan blends. The nose opens with fresh red cherry, wild herbs and violets, while on the palate is medium-bodied, vibrant and lifted, showing crunchy red fruits, plum skin and earthy tones. The combination of Malbec's depth, Sangiovese's acidity and Cab Franc's aromatic lift creates a wine of precision, freshness and drinkability.

Pairing Recommendation

Pair extremely well with friends and family. We love Tanito with barbecues, grilled meats, pasta dishes and its even great with pizza.
