'Petit Ours' ('Little Bear') is the nickname of Cornas vigneron Matthieu Barret, who farms organically and biodynamically. His best-seller is an AOP Cotes du Rhone, 100% Syrah from clay-limestone soils in the commune of Visan - in the producer's words, 'the union of the power of the southern Rhone and the elegance of the northern Rhone,' a fresh, structured Syrah.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe fruit and spices. An elegant, gourmand and eminently easy-drinking wine in which the grape bursts on the palate to reveal Syrah in its simplest form.
