Domaine Carneros was founded in 1987 by Claude Taittinger of the storied French Champagne family, who brought in Eileen Crane to develop a Taittinger-inspired style in California. Fruit comes exclusively from the winery's estate vineyards in the Carneros appellation, and the house sums up its style as classic, sophisticated and timeless.
Tasting Notes
A traditional-method rose of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, aged a minimum of three years on the lees, showing aromas of strawberries and cream, raspberry, marmalade and orange blossom over a creamy, toasty palate with a persistent, refreshing finish.
Pairing Recommendation
The producer suggests pairing it with grilled salmon, panzanella salad, or shrimp pad thai.
