La Tunella is a Friuli-Venezia Giulia estate farming the Colli Orientali del Friuli hills on marl-and-sandstone soil locally called 'ponca' (Eocene age). This is the estate's base Pinot Grigio bottling (not a single-vineyard cru); ABV is 13%.
Tasting Notes
Intense straw yellow, deepening with age. A fruity, fragrant nose evokes warm bread crust alongside acacia blossom and ripe tropical fruit. The palate echoes the nose: elegant and full-bodied, with moderate acidity and delicate hints of yeast.
Pairing Recommendation
Serve with starters, Parma ham, fish and white meats; excellent as an apéritif.
