Profile & Story

Terre di Tufi is Teruzzi's flagship white blend, sometimes called a 'White Super Tuscan.' Sourced from the Casetta vineyard area, it blends Vernaccia (50%), Trebbiano (20%) and aromatic international varieties (30%, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc per retail listings) — harvested mid-September for Vernaccia and early October for Trebbiano, with overnight pellicular maceration and soft pressing. Aging runs 8-9 months partly in steel and partly in tonneaux barrels, then 6 months in stainless steel and 4 months in bottle. ABV is 12.5%.

Tasting Notes

The nose shows good intensity and length; the palate is complex and well balanced, with fruity notes blending harmoniously with the slightly toasted notes typical of wood aging. Marked acidity and savouriness make for an excellent, food-friendly drink.
