Profile & Story
Donnafugata is a Sicilian winery based in Marsala, farming estates across the island including Contessa Entellina, Pantelleria, Vittoria, Marsala and Etna. Sul Vulcano Bianco is Carricante grown on the northern slope of Mount Etna, primarily from the Randazzo estate in eastern Sicily. The wine ages 8 months, predominantly in tank with a portion in second- and third-passage barriques, followed by roughly 24 months in bottle before release. ABV is 12.5%.
Tasting Notes
Straw-yellow in color with golden reflections. The bouquet shows mineral notes with fresh citrus hints of bergamot and grapefruit, accompanied by white flowers and well-integrated tertiary notes of ginger and vanilla. On the palate it is enveloping, fresh, and savory, characterized by mineral notes and persistence.

Crustaceans, seafood dishes, vegetarian first courses, porcini mushrooms, and white meat.
