Profile & Story
La Scolca is a heritage Gavi producer in Piedmont with over 105 years of history, styling itself "the house of the world's best Gavi." The White Label Gavi DOCG is 100% Cortese from the high hills of Rovereto Superiore di Gavi, considered the "Gran Crù of Gavi," with yields kept below 80 quintals/hectare. Vinification is traditional, in temperature-controlled steel.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow with greenish hues. A typical, pleasantly fresh, elegant bouquet. On the palate it is delicate and dry, characterised by an acidulous vein reminiscent of almonds.
Pairing Recommendation
Hors d'oeuvres, fish and seafood, pasta with light vegetable or fish sauces, white meats, vegetable tarts, Asian cuisine, and as an aperitif.
