CIMA ALBARIÑO
2025, Piriapolis, Maldonado, Uruguay
Profile & Story
Cerro del Toro Winery, owned by the Japanese Kambara family, was founded in 2016 with the mission of producing top-quality wines in a privileged location just 2 kilometers from the Maldonado coast. It is located in Piriápolis, on the northeast slope of the hill of the same name, on an 800-hectare estate, 28 of which are currently in production. Two-thirds of the vineyard is planted with red varieties and one-third with white, among which Albariño stands out as the winery's signature grape. Certified for sustainability since 2022, the winery develops lines of varietal, blended, single-vineyard, and premium wines, all striving to express their true Atlantic character.
