Profile & Story
PASTORAL refers to the guidance and care we provide to old heritage vineyards in Mendoza. We seek to highlight the value of traditional production in the face of encroaching real estate developments in these historic areas. It's a project whose philosophy is the production of high-quality wines that combine elegance with the power and intensity of fruit obtained from unique vineyards in Mendoza. The four stars in our logo represent the four partners of the project: brothers Andrés and Octavio Zenarruza, Federico Isgró, and Santiago Bernasconi.
Tasting Notes
A deeply expressive old-vine Malbec from Las Compuertas, courced from a historic estate planted in 1955 at the Andes foothills. Fermented in concrete and aged for 12 months in used french oak, the wine amphasizes purity, vineyard character and balance. The nose is refined and layered, opening with aromas of blueberries, black cherry and plums, followed by subtle notes of blackberries and mountain herbs. The palate is silky yet structured, revealing dark fruit, hints of spice and mineral earthiness. Fine grained tannins and bright natural acidity give the wine precision and lift.
Pairing Recommendation
Grilled meats.
