Prodigo is a Sicilian label built around the pairing of Italian food and wine and brought to the United States by Winesellers, Ltd. The Nero d'Avola is made entirely from that variety, grown in selected Terre Siciliane vineyards and picked towards the beginning of October after the fruit has been left to dry naturally on the vine for around fifteen days, the appassite method that gives the wine its concentration and its soft, dried-fruit weight. It is bottled at 13.5 percent alcohol.
