Profile & Story

Domaine Raffaitin-Planchon is a family estate at Amigny, just outside Sancerre, worked today by Jean-Claude and Antoine. The domaine describes its work as keeping a family inheritance for the generations that follow, and farms the white limestone soils of the Sancerre slope with the stated aim of staying humble before nature, both in the vineyard and through fermentation. Sancerre Blanc is the house's classic cuvee, an unoaked Sauvignon Blanc meant to show the richness and typicity of that ground.

Tasting Notes

Delicate aromas of white flowers and orange blossom, with a touch of exotic fruit on the palate. Lively and fresh, concentrated, ripe and mineral, very round and long, finishing on citrus.
