Schlosskellerei Tiefenbrunner sits at Entiklar above Kurtatsch in Alto Adige, and Merus is the house's classic everyday range. The Pinot Grigio draws on hillside vineyards at Kurtatsch between 400 and 600 metres and on sites down on the Margreid plain at 210 metres, a spread that gives the wine both ripeness and freshness. It is a dry, unoaked white, and the estate suggests serving it at 10 to 12 degrees.
Tasting Notes
Pale yellow to sandy in colour and subtle in its bouquet, with fruity notes of pear and candied fruit. The body is eloquent and harmonious, emphasising a dry, full-bodied taste and a round finish.
