Celler Cesca Vicent is a small organic family winery in Gratallops, Priorat DOQ (founded 2000). ‘Lo Piot’ is its top red — a blend of about 35% Garnatxa (Grenache) with Merlot, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and a little Syrah — aged 12 months in French oak.
Tasting Notes
Full-bodied and lush, with black fruit, damson plum, spice, liquorice and dried flowers; a meaty character with leather and smoke on the finish, vanilla from French oak and salty mineral terroir, powerful with a fine balance of acidity and tannin.
