Do Ferreiro is Bodegas Gerardo Méndez in the Val do Salnés (Rías Baixas). Gerardo and his father Francisco were among the founding growers of the DO Rías Baixas in 1988. The Albariño is hand-farmed across more than 175 tiny plots in Salnés.
Tasting Notes
An enveloping, fresh nose — fruity and floral, with attractive minerality and a saline touch (apple, pear, citrus, white flowers, a hint of damp earth). The palate is wide and full of nuance, with ripe fruit and a touch of iodine, fresh acidity and firm structure, a silky, elegant mouthfeel and a long, fresh finish.
