Nisia is Jorge Ordóñez (Bodegas Ordóñez)'s old-vine Verdejo project in Rueda. ‘Las Suertes’ is 100% Verdejo from ungrafted pre-phylloxera vines, some dating to the 1880s, aged on the lees with bâtonnage for at least seven months in French oak puncheons and demi-muids.
Tasting Notes
Yellow-hued, with aromas of quince, pear and green apple and hints of jasmine; buttered citrus, pineapple, white flowers, mint and a salty minerality, with rich stone fruit, honeycomb, a creamy texture and impressive length.
