Ostatu is a family winery in the heart of Rioja Alavesa with roots in generations devoted to vine-growing; in 1970 Doroteo Sáenz de Samaniego began bottling. This young white blends Viura and Malvasía (Viura in the lead) from vines aged 30–80 years in Samaniego, Laguardia, Elciego and Leza, at 420–680 m.
Tasting Notes
Charming pale greenish-yellow hue. On the nose, a seductive intensity in which primary aromas of white flowers and fruits intertwine with fresh hints of lavender and rosemary. On the palate, a velvety texture and refreshing liveliness give exceptional harmony, with citrus and white-fruit notes that evoke the juiciness of ripe apricots.
