Bodegas Vidal Soblechero is in La Seca, the heart of Rueda, run by siblings Alicia and Vidal Vidal, children of Claudio Vidal Obregón. This Verdejo comes from the estate's Finca El Alto — an ancient, arid, stone-strewn riverbed on the plateau at about 2,300 ft — from 90-year-old bush vines, hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts and brief skin contact.
Tasting Notes
Elegant and filled with fruit and floral tones. On the palate it is soft and big, showing good balance, with notes of grapefruit and a bitter-almond finish.
