Bossanova was founded in 2018 in Controguerra, Abruzzo, on a plot first planted by founder Andrea Quaglia's grandfather in the 1970s; the estate now farms nine certified-organic, biodynamically worked hectares between the Adriatic and the Gran Sasso. The Cerasuolo is made from Montepulciano, destemmed and pressed with no skin maceration, then refined about 8 months in concrete.
Tasting Notes
A deeply colored Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo with a cherry-red hue; ripe red berry and pomegranate fruit, a touch of Mediterranean herb, and the fuller body and dry finish typical of Montepulciano vinified in the rosé style.
