Carlo Pellegrino & C. is a historic Marsala house whose Gazzarotta estate — 90 hectares of brown clay-limestone soils inland from Marsala — is dedicated to Nero d'Avola. Tareni is 100% Nero d'Avola, 13% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Intense red with purple reflections; an intense, moderately complex nose of cherry blossom, red fruit and violet. Fresh and moderately soft on the palate, with pleasant tannin.

Pairing Recommendation

Grilled red meats, succulent roasts or rich first courses such as pasta alla Norma or lasagne with ragù.
