Kazi Cellars is a micro-boutique winery founded by winemaker John Kasimor, who turned a lifelong home-winemaking passion into commercial production and now works out of Carneros in Sonoma. He favors natural fermentation, minimal sulfite additions and no fining or filtration, aiming for lower alcohol and less extraction with the ripe fruit of California. This Pinot Noir comes from Dijon-clone vines at Rust Rock Vineyard in Los Carneros and is bottled at 12.6% alcohol; it shines lightly chilled at 50 to 55 degrees, or at 65 to 70 degrees for a more traditional Burgundian experience.
