Profile & Story

Domaine Raffaitin-Planchon is a small, artisan Sancerre estate farmed by father and son Jean-Claude and Antoine Raffaitin across about 15 hectares in the hamlet of Amigny, worked sustainably (lutte raisonnee). For years the family sold most of its grapes to more famous Sancerre neighbors before Antoine began estate-bottling in 2016, blending parcels from the flinty 'Caillottes' soils for floral lift with fruit from 'Terres Blanches' for structure and fuller body.

Tasting Notes

A complete, floral Sauvignon Blanc with a fuller body than many Sancerres, showing citrus and orchard-fruit aromatics and a mineral, chalky edge on the finish.
