Profile & Story
Nicolas Reau farms seven hectares biodynamically near Thouars, in the Anjou district of the Loire Valley. "Ange" -- named for the winemaker's son -- comes from a single 1.8-hectare parcel of the estate's youngest Cabernet Franc vines, hand-harvested and fermented with wild yeasts half in oak and half in concrete before aging on the lees.
Tasting Notes
Light to medium-bodied with tart red fruit and a distinct graphite minerality -- a juicy, energetic style of Loire Cabernet Franc.
