Profile & Story

Henri Champliau is a family-owned sparkling wine house in Mercurey, in Burgundy's Cote Chalonnaise, founded by Alexandre Graffard in 2016 and named for his grandfather. The Petrone cuvee is a Charmat-method Blanc de Blancs made from Chardonnay, Colombard, and Ugni Blanc, its name and label a nod to Henri Champliau's champion racehorse, bred in the 1960s.

Tasting Notes

Pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles; aromas of pear and apple accented by citrus and white flowers, with a soft, well-integrated mousse on the palate.
