Profile & Story
Patrick and Catherine Bottex have farmed five hectares at La Cueille, on limestone slopes above the Ain river in Bugey, since 1991, making small-quantity sparkling wine by the methode ancestrale. This Bugey-Cerdon is 80% Gamay and 20% Poulsard, 8% ABV, from vines planted 1960-2010 on clay-limestone soil, farmed under lutte raisonnee.
Tasting Notes
Deep pink glimmer in the glass, with fragrances of alpine strawberries and roses; just sweet enough on the palate, lifted by a fine bead and a crisp, mineral finish.
