Profile & Story
Chateau Saint Paul farms 20 hectares of gravel soils overlooking the Gironde, at the meeting point of the Haut-Medoc and Saint-Estephe terroirs, next to Sociando-Mallet; winemaking is led by maitre de chai Arnaud Vilette. The blend is 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, aged 12 months in French oak (25% new, 25% one-year, 50% two-year barrels).
Tasting Notes
Rich blackcurrant fruit with good grip and length -- "good modern Haut-Medoc" (Decanter); round, intensely flavored and velvety, with classic Medoc character and real aging potential.

Roasted red meats, stews and strong cheeses.
