Pedro Méndez farms family vineyards in Val do Salnés (cousin of noted producer Rodrigo Méndez); mix of medium-age vines and pre-phylloxera Albariño vines nearly 200 years old. Bottles outside DO Rías Baixas since 2015 by choice — labels carry no vintage/grape name though wine is 100% Albariño. Poured at Michelin-starred restaurants including 3-star Arzak.
Tasting Notes
Captures the elegance of sandy granite soils, salty ocean breeze rim, sweet Meyer lemon, sweetened juicy lime, honeysuckle, and agave — pronounced acidity, saline character.
