Domaine Serol is an estate dating to the 18th century in the Cote Roannaise, Loire, run by Stephane and Carine Serol and certified organic, in official biodynamic conversion. Turbullent is a petillant naturel made entirely from hand-harvested Gamay Saint-Romain by the methode ancestrale: pressed directly, cool-settled, and fermented with indigenous yeast in tank; bottled at 7% alcohol, the wine continues fermenting in bottle to reach about 9% alcohol and 5 bars of pressure before disgorgement.
Tasting Notes
Vivid pink colour with ripe grape, pear and raspberry aromas; in the mouth the aromatic expression of Gamay is emphasized by the finesse of the bubbles, with a rounded attack and a lively, well-balanced finish.
