Profile & Story
La Kiuva is a cooperative winery founded in the mid-1970s in Arnad, Valle d'Aosta, with about 50 grower-members farming some of the steepest and highest vineyards in the region, worked entirely by hand since the slopes are inaccessible to tractors. Rose de Vallee blends Picotendro (the local clone of Nebbiolo, from the French "Picot Tendre"), Gros Vien and Neyret, grown on sandy soils at 380-500 meters.
Tasting Notes
Beautiful pale pink (pelure d'oignon); aromas of fresh fruit, raspberries and wild berries; fresh and mineral, with a delicate bitter note on the finish.
