Mae Son Vino Orange Muller-Thurgau 2022

Profile & Story

Mae Son is a 2022 project of fourth-generation winemaker Matteo Furlani (of Cantina Furlani) in collaboration with export manager Claudio Coronato and Jenny & Francois Selections; the name is a tribute to his family (Matteo, Annalisa, Alessia and Edoardo). Fruit is hand-harvested in early September from vineyards near Povo, above Trento, at 300-720 meters on calcareous soil with clay and porphyry. The wine is 100% Muller-Thurgau, hand-destemmed and given 20-25 days of skin contact, fermented spontaneously in open-top steel vats and aged in stainless steel until April; unfined, unfiltered, with no added SO2.
