Profile & Story
Michi Lorenz farms 16 hectares on the steep, slate-schist slopes of the Sausal mountains in Kitzeck im Sausal, South Styria (Steirerland); the estate is certified biodynamic by Demeter and farmed organically, with hand-harvested grapes vinified naturally, without fining or filtration. Wicked Garden is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc given two to four days of skin contact.
Tasting Notes
Opens with a touch of moody smokiness from the region's schist-based soils, followed by spicy citrus and perfumed blossoms with a touch of tropical fruit -- yuzu, lime, guava, passionfruit and jasmine -- with a textural body and a long, fragrant finish.
