Profile & Story
Roeno has been owned and operated by the Fugatti family for generations, on the banks of the Adige river in the area known as "Terra dei Forti," on the border of Veneto and Trentino. Praecipuus, part of the estate's "Le Selezioni" line, comes from a vineyard 640 meters above sea level in Trevenezie IGT, hand-picked with careful selection in the field; fermented with Riesling yeasts selected by the Geisenheim institute in thermo-conditioned steel at 16-17 degrees C for about 25 days, then aged 18 months in large wooden barrels (33 hL) and a further 36 months in bottle.
Tasting Notes
Perfect varietal recognition of Riesling, where the scent of peach and notes of hydrocarbons prevail; the balance between acidity and minerality, combined with the softness of the residual sugar, makes the wine unique, harmonious and elegant.
Pairing Recommendation
Perfect as an aperitif, and also pairs well with raw fish dishes, sushi, shellfish, cured meats and selected cheeses.
