Profile & Story

In 1971 Sandro Fay began redeveloping his family's small vineyard in San Giacomo di Teglio, within Valtellina Superiore, officially founding Azienda Agricola Fay in 1973; his children Marco (who trained in Barolo) and Elena now run the estate, farming plots between 350 and 900 meters. Tei, named for the dialect form of Teglio, comes from old vines up to 40 years old at 600-700 meters on soils of sand, silt and schist, fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel with wild yeasts, unfiltered.
