Vignoble de la Bauge began in 1976 as a boar farm an hour from Montreal; Alcide and Ghislaine Naud established the winery in 1986, and since 2020 son Simon Naud and Steve Beausejour have committed the estate to natural winemaking: minimal intervention in vineyard and cellar, hand-harvested fruit, native-yeast fermentation, no fining or filtration, and no added sulfur. "Le Blanc" is made from Frontenac Noir and Frontenac Gris, cold-hardy hybrid grapes developed at the University of Minnesota, fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and aged 20 months in cask.
