Weingut Gunther Steinmetz farms roughly 12 hectares of classic slate steep slopes on the Middle Mosel around Brauneberg, including the Brauneberger Juffer site along with plots in Kestener Paulinshofberg, Piesporter Goldtropfchen, Wintricher Geierslay and Oligsberg, Mulheimer Sonnenlay, Veldenzer Grafschafter Sonnenberg and Dhroner Hofberg. Since 1999 Stefan Steinmetz has led the estate, working without additives, cultivated yeasts or enzymes in the belief that great Mosel wines need time and a natural approach in both vineyard and cellar.
