Domaine Pierre Martin farms in Chavignol, one of Sancerre's most celebrated villages, working organically across vines more than 30 years old planted on caillottes (chalky white pebbles) over clay and limestone. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is fermented and aged in stainless steel using indigenous yeast, a hands-off approach meant to let the Chavignol terroir speak clearly.
Tasting Notes
A classic Chavignol Sancerre: pale gold with green reflections, showing citrus and grapefruit aromatics lifted by a flinty, chalky minerality typical of the village's caillottes soils. Bone dry and racy on the palate, with bright acidity and a long, saline finish.
