Vignobles Max Barreau traces back to 1782, when the Barreau family planted their first vines at Château Haut-Garriga in the Entre-deux-Mers area of Bordeaux, about 10km from Saint-Émilion. Maxime Barreau's 'OG' bottling is a new-wave, low-intervention wine layered onto the family's traditional Bordeaux holdings: 100% Semillon from 80-year-old vines on limestone soil, unfiltered and made with indigenous yeast and no fining, undergoing about 40 days of skin-contact maceration.
