With over 200 years of history, Podere Castorani spreads across 75 acres of countryside in the province of Pescara, between Majella National Park and the Adriatic Sea, and is certified organic. The estate's principal varieties are Montepulciano d'Abruzzo for red wines and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo for white. This Cadetto bottling is 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, hand-harvested in October with careful grape selection, fermented around 28°C with frequent pump-overs and macerated for over 14 days in large vats, then aged 12 months in concrete tank; alcohol is about 13%.
