Profile & Story

Ziobaffa is a collaboration between filmmaker Jason Baffa and fifth-generation Sicilian winemaker Piergiorgio Castellani, blending a California surf-and-organic-food sensibility with Sicilian winemaking. The Pinot Grigio grapes are hand-picked in mid-August from hillside vineyards on limestone and white chalk soils near the Mediterranean, fully organic and vinified at Castellani Estate.

Tasting Notes

Plump and juicy, zesty with tangy flavors of Meyer lemon, Honeycrisp apple, pickled ginger and white stone -- a little richer and fuller than Pinot Grigio from northern Italy.
